I have used Camino Medical Group as my primary care facility for five years. I have had nothing but great encounters with all the physicians I have used so when the time came to trust someone with a laser to work on my eyes, I didn’t look anywhere else. After reading Dr. Shiuey’s information I decided he was the one for me and I can highly recommend him for this procedure.
When I walked out of my LASIK surgery, even with blurry eyes and those plastic eye covers, I could see trees across a 4 lane road and each distinct leaf. It was a very emotional experience for me. I have never been able to see as well as others around me with my glasses and most of the time my vision was correctible only to 20/25. Everyday of my life I wondered what it would be like to be able to see the clock beside the bed when I awoke. I often worried about emergencies happening during the night (i.e. fires, earthquakes) and my not being able to find my glasses.
I feel I can do everything in my life better. My husband and I backpack in the Sierra’s a lot and now I don’t have to carry contacts, solution, and extra glasses. Not only that but for the first time in my life I can look out our tent top and see the stars without my glasses. No more worrying about bears in the middle of the night and not being able to see. I can also play with my dogs and not have to worry about breaking my glasses. It is absolutely amazing to look across the road and read a license plate or drive at night without double vision from astigmatism. My life is so much richer as a result of Dr. Shiuey, the Camino Medical Center LASIK staff, and the LASIK Wavefront procedure. I have already recommended Dr. Shiuey to my closest friends.

I wanted to send this brief letter to thank you and the staff for the excellent care and service during my recent LASIK surgeries and the pre and post-operation visits. But most important I want to thank you for the results.
I have been wearing glasses and/or contacts since I was 7 years old. I can still remember my first visit to an eye doctor when I was in second grade. That was 37 years ago. More than anything else, I wanted to be a baseball player but it is pretty hard when you can't see the ball. My dreams of playing with the Pirates are long gone, but I am happy to report that I can now see better today than at anytime in the recent past. Now, thanks to you and this new technology, my vision is 20/20.
If anyone doubts what a miracle LASIK surgery really is, I am sending along my LAST pair of glasses. In this case, my coke bottle glasses are worth a couple of thousand words. Words cannot describe what it is like to wake up and see without glasses or contacts. Even now, I am amazed at how well I see.

I am very pleased with my results of the LASIK surgery you and your staff recently performed on me. I was a little apprehensive at first, but after you and your staff made me feel very much at ease, the surgical procedure was wonderful.
The procedure only took minutes with no pain or discomfort, whatsoever. Most of all my vision has been restored to 20/15-20/20, even after the first day of surgery.
