Health Resource Center Aide(s)

Time requirement: 3 hours a week to 3 hours a month, depending on tasks assigned. Prefer a commitment of at least one year.

Prefer medical/health/social work/library/education experience.

Typical tasks include:

• Maintain AV check-out binder, patient handout binder
  
• Assist as requested in maintaining resource binders, computer bookmarks and other resource lists
  
• Assist in cataloguing and labeling Resource Center materials
  
• Act as witnesses for Advance Health Care Directive appointments
  
• Provide coverage in Resource Center over lunch hours to help visitors find materials, including Internet searches
  
• Assistance with packet preparation for health education classes

Advance Health Care Directive (AHCD) Counselor

These positions are currently filled.

Time requirement: 3 hours, once a month minimum. Prefer a commitment of at least one year.

Prefer medical/health/social work/education background. This volunteer position requires some training and working with a mentor counselor.

An AHCD Counselor works with individuals during one-hour appointments to help explain and complete an Advance Health Care Directive form.
